No PS Plus or Nintendo Switch Online Subscriptions Required Once Rocket League Goes Free-To-Play
Developer Psyonix has ensured that you won’t need a PS Plus or Nintendo Switch Online account in order to play Rocket League online once it goes free-to-play.
The news was broken via a community update where Psyonix detailed out all the changes players can expect when Rocket League goes FTP. However, Xbox One players will still require an Xbox Live account to play online.
Anyone who plays the game before it goes free-to-play this summer, will be rewarded with Legacy status. As announced by Psyonix, this move will see changes in the Tournament and Challenge modes. Additionally, the game will add cross-platform progression for inventories, Rocket Pass progress, and Competitive Rank, all by linking to an Epic Games Account.
